Michael is a Dominican-American comedy and animation writer from New Jersey/NYC, based in Los Angeles. He loves to write comedies with hard jokes and heart. He most recently was a staff writer on the Netflix/WBTV comedy Running Point, created by Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and Dave Stassen. He was also a story consultant for Broadway Video/Audible’s comedy series Michelle Rojas Is Not Okay. His animation writing credits include Disney’s Alice’s Wonderland Bakery, Warner Bros’ Scooby-Doo & The Mystery Pups, Sony’s The Creature Cases, Nickelodeon’s The Casagrandes, Cartoon Network’s Craig of the Creek, and more. He has developed original shows for Disney and Sesame Workshop, as well as consulted for series in development at Nickelodeon.

Michael’s comedy pilots have been recognized by the WGA East’s “Made in NY” Fellowship, the BMI Musical Theater Workshop, Read Latinx Writers’ Initiative, the Sesame Street Writers Room, the Outfest Screenwriting Lab, and the Fox Writers’ Incubator (finalist). He started out in sketch comedy, musical theater, and satire writing. His humor pieces have been published in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Points In CaseJanice Mag, and more. His digital sketches were featured on the Funny Or Die homepage (when that was still a thing).

Michael is a proud member of AMC A-List. He lives in Glendale with his cat, Bill.
