Originally raised in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, Michael is a Dominican-American writer living in New York City. He is a freelance children’s television writer and sketch comedy writer. He created the original series GNOME BROS for Sesame Studios, the makers of Sesame Street. His recent fellowship credits include the Sesame Street Writers Room (2018) and the WGAE Made In NY Writers Room (2019). Michael is a UCB-trained comedy writer who’s comedic work has appeared on McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Funny Or Die, Thought Catalog and more. He graduated from Columbia University in 2016, where he founded the first weekly digital sketch network, CUSS, a network of 50+ creators who create weekly digital sketches. When he’s not writing, you can find him filming sketches in Central Park (weather permitting).
