Michael is a first-generation, Dominican-American writer based in NYC. He is currently writing and developing shows for animated children’s television. In 2019, he was chosen as a WGA Made In NY writing fellow and will be working on original pilots under the guidance of a NY based showrunner. Michael got his professional start as a fellow for the Sesame Street Writers Room, and has gone on to write and develop content for young audiences with Sesame Workshop. He is also a UCB-trained comedy writer who’s work has appeared on McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Funny Or Die, Thought Catalog and more. Michael graduated from Columbia University in 2016, where he founded the first weekly digital sketch network, CUSS. When he’s not writing, you can find him filming sketches in Central Park (weather permitting).
