Michael is a Dominican-American comedy and animation writer from New York, currently based in Los Angeles. He loves to write sharp comedies with humor and heart. He was most recently staffed on Netflix’s UNTITLED BASKETBALL COMEDY, a live-action comedy created by Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and Dave Stassen. He has previously worked on shows from Broadway Video, Bento Box/20th TVA, Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and more. He’s been Emmy-nominated for his writing in animation.

Michael’s writing has been recognized by the WGA East’s “Made in NY” Fellowship, the BMI Musical Theater Workshop, Read Latinx Writer’s Initiative, the Sesame Street Writers Room, and the Outfest Screenwriting Lab. He has been mentored by showrunners like Robert Carlock, Ali Schouten-Seeks, and Moisés Zamora. Michael got his start in sketch comedy, musical theater, and published satire writing. When he isn’t writing at his local coffee shops, you can find him giving misleading directions to tourists in Griffith Park.
